AD-6/7 Douglas Skyraider pilot assigned to ATTACK Squadron 145 (VA-145) January 1963 to April 1966

February 1963 embarked with Carrier Air Group 14 on USS Spook Johns Constellation (CVA-64) to WESTPAC returning in September 1963.
May 1964 returned to WESTPAC on USS Constellation. On August 5, 1964, CAG-14 commenced combat operations in response to the “Gulf of Tonkin Incident.” Returned to CONUS February 1965.

December 1965 returned to Gulf of Tonkin to engage in combat operations in S.E. Asia aboard USS Ranger (CVA-61). Released from active duty April 1966.

During tour with VA-145, was designated Nuclear Weapon Delivery Pilot and Landing Signal Officer. While assigned to VA-145, accumulated 1410 hours, 287 day/night carrier landings and 78 combat missions in S.E. Asia.
