RIDE WITH THE RAIDERS
The Imperial Navy devastated the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor. The Japanese had swept through the Philippines and the South Pacific. All of Asia was under the boot of Imperial Japan. Poised at the doorsteps of Australia, India, and the Aleutians, Their Inevitable Victory seemed imminent .Ride with the Raiders

Then from out of nowhere came American B-25 s!
Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, and all across the Imperial Homeland, factories, docks, and other targets lay in ruin as the bombers found their targets.

These bombers were flown by Jimmy Doolittle and the Tokyo Raiders on a one way mission from Shangri-La to occupied China. They caused Japan to question their invincibility and pull back forces to protect the homeland. It was the beginning of their demise. None of the bombers survived. Sadly, over the past 63 years, Jimmy Doolittle and most of the surviving Raiders have also passed into history.

This weekend, thanks to the Minnesota Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, you can go back to the dark days of 1942, when 16 B-25 s and 80 brave men changed the course of history.

Experience the sights, the sounds, the smells of a World War II legend as you RIDE WITH THE RAIDERS!

Hold on tight as over three thousand horsepower pulls you toward the heavens. With a little imagination, you can get a small sense of what it must have been like for the Raiders as they departed Shangri-La! Peer out the windows, don t worry, the guns aren t loaded. You won t be encountering any flak on today s mission, and any fighters you see will be friendly. Use your imagination; the ground below is enemy territory. The bomber you are riding in is not bulletproof; it is made out of aluminum! They were propelled into the history books, not by gasoline, but by the courage of their crewmembers!

Reserve your seat today, so that you too can experience a

MISS MITCHELL is no ordinary B-25:
This is the B-25 that flew over Jimmy Doolittle s funeral at Arlington National Cemetery in 1993.

She has attended the Raiders reunions from coast to coast, and been inspected by the surviving Raiders. Over the years many of the original Raiders have flown in her.

Cost for one hour B-25 Mitchell ride is $350.00 per person with a total group of five persons. You may also book an entire flight for $1,700.00. Individual costs will be greater if less than five passengers fly. The cost includes the tour, discussion and Associate membership.

Aircraft
Here are a few of the aircraft of the CAF

Vultee BT-1A Valiant
Vultee BT-13A Valiant Basic Trainer
All pilots, whether they were destined for fighters or bombers, had to go through the pilot training process. One of the most important aircraft for developing new pilot skills was the BT-13 Valiant, sometimes known as the "Vibrator" ~ not for what it did to you, but to the windows of buildings when it flew by.

Harvard Mk IV
Harvard Mk IV
The most important advanced pilot trainer of World War II was the AT-6 Texan. The aircraft was so good and so popular, that it was used by many different service branches and many different countries. Our aircraft was one of those licensed by Canadian Car and Foundry in Canada where it was known as the "Harvard"
